COVID-19 UPDATE 04th January 2021

Following the First Minister's announcement today we have made the decision to temporarily CLOSE the fishery for the time being given the escalating Covid situation in Grampian
​
We look forward to welcoming you back at Mossat Trout Fishery in the near future.
We will provide a further update when the fishery will be re-open.

We would really like to discourage cash handling but cash will still be taken via money box (correct change only)
Your fishing ticket are emailed to an email address of your choice.

DURING YOUR VISIT
On arrival please do not start fishing. Please wait inside/by your car until Steve has had a brief chat from distance / provided you with leaflet with our current arrangements to you (note – leaflet will be placed on your windscreen to maintain social distancing.
Social Distancing - we expect that all visitors will avoid close contact with others whilst at the fishery and must remain at least 2 metres from other people at all times (unless from the same household)
CHANGES TO THE FISHERY
We are re-opening on a reduced capacity and to do this we will have the following measures in place to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

No tackle hire will be available

Ensure you bring own landing net and forceps to remove hooks

Weighing scales will not be available to weigh catches

No 1-1 tuition will be provided

Our wooden fishermans bothy is out of use (no tea/coffee or BBQ facilities will be available)

The rear loch is closed for fishing (main loch and small loch are both open)

Reduced toilet facilities (only one toilet cubicle will be open which will be cleaned regularly)

Very large groups (5+) are discouraged
We respectfully ask that all visitors maintain good hygiene standards wherever possible

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE FISHERY IF YOU ARE FEELING UNWELL. If you or anyone in your household have any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, however mild. you should stay at home. Please refer to current guidance at: https://www.hps.scot.nhs.uk/
